Fun tiki type bar. This is the first time I've been in over 6 years. It's relaxing, comfortable and friendly.
The building is hard to find since it's covered with plants. The sign is very small. They have a decent, but short beer list.
I will be back soon enough. -

My two star rating is for the service I received, not the food. The food was pretty tasty, and the guy that came to deliver our food was really nice. I got the tiger prawn skewer and was pleasantly surprised it came with 6 prawns and not 3. It was delicious. Scalloped potatoes were awesome, too.
The bartender, however, had the worst attitude of any I've encountered in Portland. I'm talking to you, cut off tank top and red hat. Regret tipping, and I don't regret much in life. -

Suchhh a nice space. Calming, beautiful, so green! Very nice employees and wonderful food. What more could a girl ask for?

NOT EVEN ONE STAR YELP MAKES ME RATE AT LEAST ONE STAR.
I have some friends from out of town I was taking to interesting bars in the area - we had no idea the bar closed at 1am our mistake.
While talking to a male employee (who was very kind until he was interrupted by another female employee who started this whole altercation). While the male was explaining other bars that are interesting this woman began to mock my voice. Yes I have a higher pitched voice, but why would another woman mock someone who was willing to contribute to the business you work at?
Anyways the woman continued to provoke myself and my girlfriend. She called us "thots" and went on to shame women who dance. First off there was no admittance that we were dancers and secondly that is a huge NO NO to shame a female for a profession where she is improving her life by working in an environment where she is given multiple opportunities to improve her life. I will make sure all my fellow dancers know that this is not a dancer / sex worker friendly bar. They literally assumed we were dancers because of how we look.
Anyways the female server continued to insult us so we finally gave in and yelled back. The female instantly shut down after we explained very valid points. We are never treated so poorly especially so randomly - I honestly think that larger white female employee who was screaming disrespectful things towards us was intoxicated I am not a person to report these activities but I think she should be investigated due to how aggressive she was without being provoked!
I think my friends and I deserve a personal apology by this female.
All of the sudden the male mentioned how he does not sell a controlled substance - we would never inquire and we were not even intoxicated as I was the DD (we have videos of this whole incident if the owner would like to review).
The man introduced himself as Scotty, not sure if this is a correct name or not. Either way both should be fired.
I hope these disrespectful people find help, maybe they can find a therapist through yelp??
